Essential green smoothie recipe for energy and clear skin
I’m sure you’ve heard that a higher consumption of fruit and vegetables is associated with a lower risk of all-cause mortality including cancer and heart attacks. But what researchers have recently learned is that for every additional serving of fruits or vegetables you consume daily, there is a 4% reduction in your risk of cardiovascular mortality. Every single extra serving of fruits and vegetables you ingest really does add up in a measurable way towards better health.
This week we’re adding a basic green smoothie to our morning routine. What might seem like a small habit is extremely beneficial for your entire body, particularly for disease prevention and overall energy levels. The fibre and nutrients in this powerful glass of goodness act to keep you feeling full and reduce cravings for other foods. This, along with the weight management benefits from eating avocados, is a fantastic kick-start to weight-loss. Additionally, after even a week of eating these skin friendly nutrients every day, most people notice an improvement in the overall condition of their skin.

Definitely will give this a try. Im so confused as to why my skin has become acne prone. Im so oooooold and I thought good skin, or at least skin free from pimples, would be a benefit of aging. Duped again!
Im going to start the lemon and warm water again as well. Great blog btw!
Thanks Shahidah – so glad you like the blog. Yes you’d think it wouldn’t be true but we can get acne at any age 🙁 Something that might help is this particular smoothie recipe – it’s specially designed to help with skin erruptions and also soothing inflammation (along with a few more juicy benefits too!): https://theconfidencekitchen.com/2014/02/04/natural-beauty-beautiful-skin-green-smoothie-recipes-healthy-recipes-vitamin-a-tips-for-healthy-skin/ Another thing that has been regularly reported anecdotally is that dairy is a big culprit behind breakouts at most ages, although it’s suggested that the hormones in dairy can trigger us more as adults. Personally I’ve noticed a big difference since I’ve mostly cut out dairy. Best of luck!
